Question 318: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if he will make reforming our mental health services an urgent priority; if he will commit to making mental health services more open and transparent, with a particular focus on ensuring that patients' fundamental human rights are respected and adhered to in this process. The Government has prioritised the reform of the mental health service in line with 'A Vision for Change'. The Programme for Government makes a number of commitments in relation to mental health and I am currently engaged in discussions with my officials with a view to delivering progress as early as possible.
