Question 416: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if his Department has received plans from Galway County Council for a sewerage scheme for Kinvara, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5639/08]

The Kinvara Sewerage Scheme is included in my Department's Water Services Investment Programme 2007 â 2009 as a scheme to start construction in 2008. My Department approved Galway County Council's Preliminary Report for the scheme in December 2006. In accordance with devolved procedures for schemes costing less than â¬5m, the Council may advance the scheme through the procurement and construction stages without further reference to my Department.
