Question 130: To ask the Minister for Defence if the mid-point review of the implementation of the 2000 White Paper on Defence has been completed; the conclusions it has reached; the areas due to be implemented between now and 2010; the plans for their implementation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am pleased to inform the House that the review of implementation of White Paper recommendations has been completed by a civil/military Group in my Department. The report of the Group is currently under consideration and I hope to be in a position to publish it very shortly. I will arrange to have copies placed in the Oireachtas library in due course.
