Question 258: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he is satisfied that there is enough legislative support for the Gardaà to tackle the issue of non-Irish registered cars being driven here that have not got the correct insurance cover and vehicle roadworthy documentation to comply with Irish road traffic laws; when a proper compound will be provided for the Gardaà to store seized cars in County Cork; if he is further satisfied that the Gardaà are giving enough attention to the problem of non-Irish registered cars breaking road traffic laws; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have requested a Garda report in relation to this matter and I will contact the Deputy again when the report is to hand.
