Question 438: To ask the Minister for Transport the reason a test was cancelled with no prior notification to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; the further reason a substitute driver tester could not be found; and if an alternative date has been arranged. [35595/05]

The person concerned was scheduled for a driving test in Tralee at 9.15 a.m. on Tuesday, 15 November. Unfortunately, the driver tester scheduled to conduct the test was absent due to illness on the day. As the test concerned was the first test of the day it was not possible, given the short time span involved, to put alternative measures in place. A new driving test appointment has been arranged for the person concerned.
