Question 667: To ask the Minister for Education and Science if her Department has received an application from the County Wicklow VEC for approval of a proposal to establish a second level all-Irish school in Arklow; if so, the status of this application, with particular reference to the objective of bringing the school on stream in 2007; and if she will make a statement on the matter. An application has been received from County Wicklow VEC for the establishment of a Gaelcholáiste in Arklow. The application is under consideration by officials in the planning section of my Department and discussions will be arranged between my officials and the VEC to progress the matter.
