Iarnród Ãireann, in conjunction with Meath and Fingal County Councils, recently completed a feasibility study into the possibility of providing a spur off the Maynooth line at Clonsilla to Pace on the N3 beyond Dunboyne. I understand that the provision of a park and ride site at Pace to cater for Navan traffic has been included in the feasibility study.
I am aware that Iarnród Ãireann is at present examining the study. The next step is for Iarnród Eireann to decide if and how it wishes to proceed with this project and I expect a report will be submitted to my Department in the near future.
