I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:

Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minster for Education to make a statement on her plans to resolve the capacity issues at Clonakilty Community College.

Senator Robbie Gallagher - The need for the Minister for Transport to increase the funding for regional and local roads in counties Cavan and Monaghan and throughout rural Ireland.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and I have selected those raised by Senators Lombard and Gallagher and they will be taken now.

I welcome the students I met a minute ago on the Taoiseachs' gallery. They are all very welcome and I hope they have a very pleasant morning in Leinster House. Their questions were very interesting and invigorating. I hope they have a no-homework day today and that their mĂșinteoir, Cormac, will grant them that derogation tonight.

We might suspend the House until 11.10 a.m. to facilitate the Minister of State, who is delayed at another meeting.

Cuireadh an Seanad ar fionraí ar 11.04 a.m. agus cuireadh tús leis arís ar 11.12 a.m.

Sitting suspended at 11.04 a.m. and resumed at 11.12 a.m.
