I have to inform the House that, in accordance with Standing Order 12, as both the Cathaoirleach and the Leas-Chathaoirleach are absent from this meeting of the Seanad, it will be necessary therefore to elect a Member to perform the duties devolving upon, and exercise the authority conferred upon, the Cathaoirleach by standing orders for the period of absence of both. I will take proposals for Acting Chairperson.
