I move amendment No. 13:

In page 22, between lines 2 and 3, to insert the following: “Restriction on export of military items in contravention of Convention

28. (1) Notwithstandingsections 24, 25, 26and 27authorisation shall not be granted to a person or organisation to transit a military item through or from the State where such an item is subject to the Convention.

(2) Where a person or organisation attempts to export an item in contravention ofsubsection (1)they shall be guilty of an offence.

(3) For the avoidance of doubt, subsection (1)applies to the Defence Forces and An Garda Síochána.”
