I move amendment No. 38:

In page 14, between lines 13 and 14, to insert the following: “Report on extension of eligibility for work-related payments under Scheme

19. (1) The Minister shall, within 6 months of the passing of this Act, lay a report before both Houses of the Oireachtas on the potential to extend eligibility under section 18(3)for

a work-related payment to all relevant persons who were resident in a relevant institution for any period of time, including those who were resident in institutions for less than 90 days.

(2) A report under this section shall include a breakdown of the number of persons who applied to the Scheme and were deemed ineligible as a result of the 90 day residency requirement, and the cost to the Exchequer of extending eligibility for the Scheme to include those persons.”.
