I move amendment No. 31:

In page 18, between lines 2 and 3, to insert the following: “(6) In considering whether to remove a lay member from office, the Government shall lay a copy of the proposal to remove the lay member before the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Justice and shall seek and have regard to the views of that Committee in such considerations.”.
