I often say I do not represent any constituency, but I definitely have an electorate which came to the fore over the past year, knowing that this Bill was on its way. I thank the Irish Universities Association, the Union of Students in Ireland and all the student unions for their input to improve the legislation. It is positive that an amendment has been passed in the Seanad today. The Civil Engagement Group tabled over 100 amendments to the legislation, which is what this Chamber is for.
