We have consulted the organisations, specifically because we initially thought like Senator Seery Kearney that an extension to the deadline would give to the survivors with one hand and take back with the other. We consulted them and they told us to do what we have to do to stop the Bill and they will live with a 28-day delay if it means they can deal with the substantial issues. We have spent the past two hours listening to people speak about the intricacies of this file. The survivors are telling us to do what we have to do but not to let the Bill pass. I plead with the Minister to listen to the survivors.
