I am advised that the national universities are not public bodies, nevertheless they have a very important function to play in biodiversity. I will discuss this with officials as they have an important role. It is a fair point that there may be lands that may not be farmed actively, some owned by the State or State bodies or are private owned by them, which are zoned for future development where there would be the removal of habitat to development. I saw a case on social media today where that had happened in a part of Dublin county. Those points are valid and I will discuss what can be done on this with officials.
