I imagine it is not for the commission to decide on these things, but rather it is for the commission to establish the facts of the matter. I have two questions. One is for Senator McDowell and one is for the Minister. I wish to ask Senator McDowell a question through the Chair. Taking into account that there is no facility whatever in this legislation, as I understand it, for the Government to question any judicial candidate, how would the Executive find out the views of the person unless these kinds of questions were asked by someone at some stage?Second, will the Minister confirm that the subject and content of the interview will remain private? My assumption is that this information will not be made public.
