I move amendment No. 72:

In page 23, lines 6 to 17, to delete all words from and including "(1) Section 5" in line 6 down to and including line 17 and substitute the following:"(1) Section 5 (amended by section 11 of the Court of Appeal Act 2014) of the Act of 1961 is amended by the insertion of the following after subsection (7):

"(8) Section 45A (inserted by section 33(4) of the Judicial Appointments Commission Act 2018) provides an additional basis for qualification for appointment as a judge of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal or the High Court.".".

I am moving this with Senator Bacik's consent which I obtained from her an hour ago.
