I have received notice from Senator Ivana Bacik that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to outline the reason children with Down's syndrome are currently excluded from the July provision scheme administered by his Department.

I have also received notice from Senator James Reilly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to address the need for emergency accommodation in schools in Fingal, in particular in St. Joseph’s secondary school, Rush, and Skerries community college, and if he will make a statement on how his Department will deal with the requirement for school places in these areas in 2019-20 and on the longer-term plans for these schools.

I have also received notice from Senator Michelle Mulherin of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht to provide additional funding and resources for the National Parks and Wildlife Service, west division, and to set out the annual funding, staffing and resources available to the northern, east and south-west divisions.

I have also received notice from Senator Ged Nash of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection to make a statement on the proposed liquidation of the Authentic Food Company plant in Dundalk, County Louth, the implications for its 169 staff and the impact of insolvency on workers generally.

I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works and flood relief to provide an update on when work will commence on the Glashaboy flood relief scheme, County Cork.

I have also received notice from Senator Robbie Gallagher of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to address the problems with Bus Éireann in County Monaghan.

Of the matters raised by the Senators that are suitable for discussion, I have selected those raised by Senators Bacik, Reilly, Mulherin and Nash and they will be taken now. I regret I had to rule out of order the matter submitted by Senator Gallagher on the ground that the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter. Senator Colm Burke may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
