Regarding Tidy Towns, I agree with the sentiments expressed by many Senators about the tremendous voluntary work that people do all over the country in villages and towns. Over the past 20 years, the Tidy Towns competition and its categories have been a major success. I congratulate Listowel, which is a large town, on winning the overall award. I congratulate my colleague, Senator Ned O'Sullivan, who was one of the founder members of the Listowel Tidy Towns festival. Be it in their current or past lives, it is good to see Senators doing society and their communities an important service.
