Senator Gallagher can correct me if I am wrong but when asking whether it applies to all schools that does not undermine the point about the schools this will have an impact on. Even if the Minister says this applies to all schools that is still discriminatory because my parents did not go to second level school. I left school at the age of 15. My grandparents did not go to second level school. Whether this applies across the board are not it means that I am discriminated against by every school that might be oversubscribed and decide to prioritise against me. I have daughters but who is to say that if I was to have another child and had a son I would not want to send him to a private school? As this amendment stands if I wanted to send him to the same school as the Minister went to I would be actively discriminated against.
