I thank the Leader for organising the debate on the report on Airbnb and the effect it is having. He always tries to respond to requests as quickly as possible.

I refer briefly to the expert report which ranks Ireland as one of the worst when it comes to emissions. I have requested a full debate on climate change . I again call for such a debate to be organised. Could we possibly look at doing so slightly differently? We need a whole-of-government response to cliimate change. Three Departments are key - the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport; the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment. Could we have a proper debate at some stage, in particular on the effects turf and coal burning stations are having, as well as on the increasing emissions from the transport sector?
