I move amendment No. 3:

In page 8, between lines 35 and 36, to insert the following:“(3)(a) Part 2 ‘Right to Information’ applies to an authorised person, while performing functions referred to in paragraph (b), in the same way that it applies to the Garda Síochána and the Ombudsman Commission; and references in that Part to the Garda Síochána and the Ombudsman Commission shall be construed accordingly.

(b) In paragraph (a) ‘authorised person’ means any person on whom functions relating to the investigation or bringing and prosecution of offences, or both, are conferred by an enactment.”.
