I move amendment No. 2:

In page 8, between lines 12 and 13, to insert the following:“(2) The obligation in subsection (1) (j) shall not apply with respect to any company whose business in the State comprises the manufacturing, supply and/or distribution of pharmaceutical products where a director of that company certifies (in the prescribed form) that compliance with that subsection would be especially burdensome in terms of regulatory, import/export, customs requirements or otherwise.”.

We have talked to the Minister about this issue and outlined our concerns. The amendment is prudent. While the Minister can look at these situations on an ad hocbasis, having talked to a number of companies, we believe it is very important. A great number of jobs are involved. We will press the amendment.
