I call on the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Deputy Heather Humphreys, to attend the House to discuss the concerning development that is the increase in the number of claims against heritage and wildlife sites. The Wicklow Way was recently involved in a high profile case before the courts which brought the matter into focus. I call on the Minister to be staunch in her defence of the National Parks and Wildlife Service. It would be a backwards step for tourism and the public's welfare if we were not to take a strong line on the issue.
