UK Referendum on EU Membership: Statements
10:30 am
Mary Mitchell O'Connor (Dún Laoghaire, Fine Gael) | Oireachtas source
The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Deputy Flanagan, has dealt with these issues. It is important to have a whole cross-Government response at this stage, and that is what is happening. There is a Cabinet committee led by the Taoiseach. A Secretary General has been appointed to look after Brexit. Obviously, I will deal with jobs and enterprise, and the Minister, Deputy Flanagan, will deal with foreign policy. All of us report into Cabinet. Since the result of the referendum, Brexit has been on the agenda at nearly every Cabinet meeting.
