Senator O'Reilly spoke about student accommodation. This is a serious problem for students and adds quite a burden on them in terms of the expense. While we laud the fact that third level education is so much more accessible now, accommodation can be a blockage to people going to third level education, which should not be the case.

A few days ago I spoke about the role of the Seanad on the committee on health planning for the next ten years. I know the Leader met the Chairman of the committee but was not satisfied.
