We have a great tradition of Irish dancing and music but we also have phenomenal Gaelic games, particularly hurling, which is unique. I would like the Deputy Leader to bring this matter to the attention of the Government, particularly the Minister with responsibility for sport, in the context of the 1916 celebrations. To promote what I am suggesting, in September I will send an e-mail to all Members of the Oireachtas inviting them to join an all-party committee to promote Gaelic games in the policy structure of the House.
