On a more serious note, I wish to mention two colleagues on this side of the House who are retiring. Senator Quinn has given many years of distinguished service not only to Seanad Éireann but to commerce, business, employment and economic activity within this State. I wish Senator Quinn and his wife and family well in the years ahead. I also wish my colleague and friend, Senator Walsh, well. He tells me that he was first elected in 1974. I was not even born then. This tells you something about the service this man has given not only to Seanad Éireann since 1997 but also to local government, the members of which - both town and county councillors - elect us.That tells us something about the service he has given not only to Seanad Éireann since 1997 but to local government whose members elect us through the town and county councils. He has done the State some service. I wish Jim, Marie and the family well in the years to come.
