Senator Coghlan spoke about the implications that a possible Brexit would have North and South of the Border, outlining that it is a very serious issue. We all hope that an agreement will be reached between the UK and the EU in their deliberations which will avoid such an event.

Senator Wilson spoke about the transferral of some jobs from Ballybay to Monaghan town and suggested that the Intreo office that is coming in the future should be located in Ballybay. I will make those representations to the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection, Deputy Joan Burton, and with the one or two days we have left in this term, the Senator could table a Commencement debate on the matter for the Minister.

On the subject of sittings, after the Dáil is finished I have no plans to have a meeting of the Seanad in the next three or four weeks. Not having Ministers in here would be like having a parish without a priest.
