I am aware that this year's budget was warmly received by the owners of those vehicles because it provided for a substantial reduction in taxation. One would hope that did not occur at the expense of safety and, perhaps, that is something which might be taken up on an EU-wide basis. I am concerned at the number of vehicles being towed which do not have the same registration plate as the one doing the towing. This is a matter the Minister may wish to keep under review because we cannot be too careful in terms of safety. I thank the Minister for his response. If it is necessary for Ireland to take a lead on some of these aspects compared to the rest of Europe that is fine. Perhaps it is also something the Garda may have to look at. I do not know what law applies in the situation where there is no relation between the vehicle being towed and the registration of the vehicle that is doing the towing.
