Senator Quinn spoke about defibrillators, a matter he has raised on several occasions. As he mentioned, even if it were over-ambitious, we should certainly do something on the issue. I will raise the matter again with the Minister, as I have on several occasions, and see if we can come up with some concrete proposals to advance the issue. I firmly believe that it should be advanced.

Senator Brennan welcomed the appointment of a gentleman to a new position while Senators Ó Clochartaigh and Bradford questioned the method by which he was appointed.
