Why should those who have paid for their water or sunk their own wells be entitled to the €100 conservation grant? Those people will make sure that they preserve the water, buy additional fittings and make the changes and amendments to their original scheme and, thus, save water which is a precious resource. People have played a lot of politics with the issue of water. We want to ensure every town and village has a good, safe and clean water system. To attract industry to locate here we must have an infrastructure that is capable of meeting the demands of industry. Apple will locate a facility in Athenry and create jobs and I have no doubt that priority will be given to such places.
