I will finish on this because it is so important. This is about a threat to democracy and the democratic institutions. A left-wing academic was quoted in The Irish Times today as saying that legitimate protest was quite valid. There was nothing legitimate about what happened yesterday afternoon and I wish that man would realise that he would need to look into his own heart and not defend the indefensible.
