Senator Ivana Bacik raised the employment (equality) Bill and outlined that a number of amendments will be tabled on Report Stage. She outlined the briefing that will be available for Members on that matter.

Senator Katherine Zappone and many Members raised the issue of the reform of the system for lone parents. I do not propose to accept the amendment to the Order of Business. The Minister has been in the House on a couple of occasions for the Social Welfare Bill and so on. These proposals and reforms have been flagged for a number of years-----
