Senator Michael Mullins raised the issue of the recruitment process in the HSE and the appointments cancelled in Merlin Park. He made a good point in that regard. The whole question of recruitment in the HSE will have to be examined because we are being told constantly that many of the problems arising are the result of not having a sufficient number of consultants and staff in the health service. There will have to be a look at that whole situation and what we can do to attract consultants into Ireland to provide the necessary health service for our people.

I note the points made by Senators Paul Coghlan and Jim Walsh in respect of perceived bias in the media - the national broadcaster against the pro-life movement. Hopefully, we will have a debate on media mergers which might possibly include the whole question of media coverage.

The other issues raised were in regard to Greece which I have addressed previously.
