The Minister is very welcome to the House. I am delighted to have an opportunity to speak about the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of William Butler Yeats, which takes place next week, 13 June. I commend Senator O'Keeffe, and her hard-working committee, on all the work she has done to create Yeats 2015.It is a year-long national and international celebration of the life and works of this great poet.

Believe it or not, I can somewhat recall 50 years ago being a young 12-year-old boy in secondary school studying a little of "The Lake Isle of Innisfree". My mother told me at the time that William Butler Yeats was not from Sligo but was from Dublin.
