Nobody in the HSE is answerable for anything. I had to make five phone calls and eventually got a voicemail telling me to refer to communications. It is not good enough. As public representatives we are entitled to make representations on behalf of our people and we expect answers from the HSE. The Minister of State and the Minister for Health, Deputy Varadkar, should absolutely insist that the HSE respond to people. If, as a public representative, I cannot get a reply or others cannot get a reply, how does the ordinary man on the street hope to get an answer from anyone? Like my colleagues, I could go on forever but there are time constraints. There will be another day to fight this.
