I accept that the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Deputy Donohoe, and the Cabinet will give careful consideration to the matter. They are duty bound to consider the recommendation of the board of Aer Lingus itself. I am sure that the market rules will be adhered to.

It is very important for the State to hold what we have in the short and medium term - maybe even in the longer-term. Other matters will develop. This is of major importance. I urge the Leader to facilitate a debate on this issue in due course.
