I would not mock this. If it is shown that there is a carcinogenic effect in dogs, it could happen in humans. Certainly, I would not mock the situation we are in. If Senator Gilroy came to Connemara I could introduce him to many people who are angry about this. We believe there is a health issue and that Irish Water is making little of it. I believe the public water forum suggested could have a prominent role in highlighting to the relevant bodies the nature of certain issues. It could also highlight to the relevant bodies the need to make people in the community aware of the situation and the need to consider putting out a public health notice. That is what the amendment seeks to do and, therefore, I will be pressing it.
