The record will show that is what the Senator said. In my view, Senator Zappone has probably made the most sense today. I would welcome the Minister's comments on what she had to say. For the Minister to say that he will consider the possibility of a referendum or appoint a person or body to do so does not mean that he has backtracked on anything he already said. It is only possible to speak to the amendment as drafted. If we want to do our job properly, that is what we have to do.
