I echo the welcome of my colleague, Senator Naughton, on the announcement made by the Minister of State, Deputy Ring, about funding for the Fleadh Cheoil and festivals around the country. I welcome the announcement of €90,000 for Sligo Fleadh Cheoil, which made a great difference to the town and brought people from all over the world. It ran for almost two weeks and was a great boost to the economy and tourism in Sligo.

I was disappointed to learn that, at a meeting last week, there was news that mammography services will not recommence in Sligo. On a number of occasions over the past three years, we were promised that mammography services would recommence in Sligo. It was very disappointing to learn it this morning and I will call on the Minister for Health to outline the reasons and see if we can change the decision.
