Senator Paul Coghlan raised the issues of housing and jobs which are vital for economic growth.

Senator Lorraine Higgins raised the issue of cybercrime and the need for consumers to exercise caution especially at this time of the year. That is wise advice that we should all very careful in the area of cybercrime.

Senator Mary Moran raised the issue of people with disabilities, yesterday being the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. She mentioned the need for a more inclusive society and inquired when legislation will be introduced. She also mentioned the closing date for applications for the scheme for ladies with symphysiotomy. It is important that all those affected by that barbaric practice receive the necessary compensation and be dealt with sympathetically when making those applications. I urge each of those people to get their applications in immediately.
