That statement has been taken down from the Fine Gael website. This will be a great opportunity and we all look forward to 10 October. It will be the start of the fightback and the beginning of the evolution in Fianna Fáil in finding its way back to government. Our ambition is to be in government in 2016.

I have many relations in bonny Scotland. I wish the Scots every success, whatever decision is made. It is 100 years since Ireland was given the Home Rule Bill which became obsolete. The Scots have an opportunity today and I hope they make a wise decision. We look forward to working with them in unity and partnership in Europe and the world.
