I take this opportunity to pay tribute to the Tánaiste, whom I have always found to be a gentleman. He has always shown integrity, particularly in how he has conducted himself in recent days. I join colleagues in commending everybody who put their names forward for the European and local elections and the by-elections. I pay tribute, in particular, to our colleague, Senator Deirdre Clune, who is very much in the running for the fourth European seat in the South constituency. Contrary to the view put forward by Senator Cullinane, my party looks likely to retain its four seats, despite the reduction in Ireland's quota.
