Senator MacSharry has proposed an amendment to the Order of Business: "That a debate with the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to explain why the Government reportedly sanctioned an additional salary allowance of €9,000 for the chairman of the Labour Relations Commission for his role on the Irish Sports Council be taken today."
