I have been listening very carefully to everything that has been said and I will keep my contribution short as I would prefer to hear what the Minister of State has to say about the issue. I get the sense we are broadly in agreement. There have been issues raised by the report published over the weekend by the International Human Rights and Equality Commission, IHREC. We support the thrust of what is being said in that regard. As has been admitted by Senator Bacik, there is a need for amendments of some sort, so perhaps we could get a sense of those from the Senator and the Minister of State. Will they take on board some of what has been said in order to move the debate along? We do not want to stall this Bill, which is important and should be moved along as quickly as possible. We could go around in circles for quite a while but I would prefer to get to the nub of the matter. Will the Government support the thrust of what is contained in the report and will it introduce Report Stage amendments to that effect? If not, we must rethink the issue.
