We are all familiar with the damage done by the storms in the west, south west, south east and the north east. Many scenic areas popular with tourists suffered damage. I had occasion to visit an area where the road had disappeared and people's homes were cut off. In conjunction with restoration work I ask that local authorities should consider installing footpaths at little extra cost. I visited one of the most scenic areas in the country, the Bellaghan shore and Whitestown shore in north County Louth. In the interest of tourists and locals alike local authorities should consider installing footpaths.
