I know our Government Whip has many powers but I do not think he has the power to draft or expedite legislation. I will certainly make inquiries as to the projected date for that Bill. It appears in the Government's legislative programme but there is no publication date. As with much legislation, publication is being pushed forward. Any pressure we can put on the Departments would be welcome in trying to expedite the introduction of Bills such as this.

Senator Tom Sheahan sought information on the Coroners Bill. I can check that issue. As I did not look at the legislative programme I am not sure if it appears on it. Given that it is on the Order Paper we should be able to get a date. He also called for a debate with the Minister for Finance, Deputy Michael Noonan, on pillar banks and their lending levels to SMEs. My colleague, Senator Aideen Hayden, has called for a similar debate on banking. We might try to get that debate in this term.

Senator John Crown raised the issue of the plain packaging of tobacco legislation to ensure its speedy passage. I am sure legislation would have cross-party support. He also raised some more matters in respect of St. Vincent's Hospital which have been highlighted by the Senator on a number of occasions in the House.

I think I have responded to all questions raised by Senators.
