I have a long answer but I will not go into it in the interests of brevity other than to say we had all this in the Dáil and the Seanad earlier. The fact of the matter is that this is accepted as reasonable by the EU and to go away from it would not make much sense. Regrettably, I will not be accepting the amendment.
