A number of members of the sovereign committee of the British-Irish Parliamentary Assembly met with the Chief Constable and assistant chief constable of the PSNI in Northern Ireland last Monday morning. The Chief Constable went out of his way to pay tribute to the Garda Síochána and to the co-operation and cohesion that now exists between the forces in what they are doing to confront the challenges that arise in the security area.
